what type of assignment they choose.
-
Opportunity: A
temporary assignment can be a great way to get a foot in the door.
-
Training: Many
people like the idea of free training that the staffing service

Why
would someone want to hire a temporary worker?
-
Change in work
load: Temporary
employees are used to address normal fluctuations in a company’s
work load. In order to save money, client companies keep staff
levels low and use temporary employees to handle the excess work.
When the extra work has been completed and the company returns to
a normal work load the temporary employees are simply placed on
assignment elsewhere.
-
Looking for a
permanent employee: Businesses
will often hire a temporary employee to fill a new opening in the
company. If the person is good at the job, the company arranges
with the staffing service to hire the person on a permanent basis.
